Het Geestdrift Festival valt dit jaar op dezelfde dag als het Sint Maarten feest. En daarom vieren we samen een feestje.
De Sint Maarten Parade is een schitterend feest van licht waarbij iedereen welkom is. Het is een optocht door de binnenstad van Utrecht met lichtsculpturen en muziek die begint vanaf het Domplein.
Dit jaar worden bezoekers van het Geestdrift Festival uitgenodigd mee te lopen tijdens dit bijzondere feest. Gedurende de dag staat er een lichtsculptuur in de Pieterskerk. Deze sculptuur zal rond 17:00 uur onder begeleiding van de dichter Padraig O’Tuama meegenomen worden in de processie.
Er mogen dit jaar 20 bezoekers van het Geestdrift Festival meelopen in de Sint Maarten processie. Het is een unicum om in deze bijzondere lichtjesparade mee te mogen wandelen want slechts een beperkt aantal deelnemers kan jaarlijks meelopen. De processie start op het Domplein, vlakbij de Pieterskerk. De processie start om 18:00 uur vanaf het Domplein wanneer alle lichtsculpturen zijn aangesproken. De gehele processie duurt een klein uur. Wil je vanuit de Pieterskerk meelopen met Padraig en andere deelnemers? Dan kun je je nu alvast opgeven door een email te sturen naar miranda@geestdriftfestival.nl
