Afgelopen november verzorgde de legendarische Baby Dee twee prachtige optredens tijdens het Geestdrift Festival. Deze performances waren onderdeel van haar afscheidstour. Voorlopig zien we Dee niet meer op de planken. Al houden we de hoop dat Dee toch nog eens terugkomt naar Geestdrift gezien de prachtige afscheidsboodschap die ze voor ons achterliet.
There are lots and lots of festivals. What sets Geestdrift apart is that it does something that nobody else does. It creates an unlikely home for the spirits of people in a place they wouldn’t otherwise feel they belong — in a church. We all ought to belong somewhere. Geestdrift is a good somewhere. A good somewhere for us ‘unbelongers’.
